Volunteer Opportunities at the Lower Paxton Youth Center    To Volunteer as an Adult Volunteer (Over Age 25) or Youth Volunteer, please contact:  Gail Mahoney, Board President E-Mail:  HHSMAHONEY@aol.com   Music Night  4 Adult Volunteers Needed at Any One Time:  2 behind the concession, 2 in the parking lot and/or watching the crowd inside Open prior to starting time of event (1 adult needs to be present).  Two Shifts are Available:   4 volunteers from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. and 4 volunteers from 8:00 to 10:45 p.m. (or until all youth have left the premises).  You are not required to volunteer for the entire event, but you are welcome to, if you so desire. Order pizzas as needed from CD Pizza, use door profits to pay for the pizzas and keep records or receipts of pizza purchases. Monitor bands getting their food and drink. Zero tolerance concerning drugs/alcohol (confer with youth, ask youth to leave) Close the building when music night is over (no later than 10:00 p.m.)  4 Student Volunteers at Any One Time:  2 behind the concession • 2 at the door, 1 to check and replenish restrooms • 1 to operate sound system, 1 to maintain order/report abuses • 2 to clean up inside after the event and 2 to pick up trash outside after the event. Sign up on White Board inside the kitchen to be assigned a time slot to volunteer to do a specific duty   Movie Night  1 Adult Volunteer needed Open building prior to the starting time of the event Supervise playing of movie Man concession Zero tolerance concerning drugs/alcohol (confer with youth, ask youth to leave) Close the building when movie is over (no later than 10:00 p.m.) and depart only when all youth have left the premises  2 Youth Volunteers needed • 1 to collect donations at door • 1 to check restrooms and clean up Center after event   Vegan Dinner   1 Adult Volunteer needed Open the building prior to starting time of the event (usually 5:00 p.m.) Assist as needed with serving dinner Make sure supplies are available Zero tolerance concerning drugs/alcohol (confer with youth, ask youth to leave) Close building around 8:30 p.m. or at close of event and depart only when all youth have left the premises  3 Youth Volunteers needed • 1 to prepare vegan dinner, set up and clean up after event • 1 to collect admission at door 1 to check restrooms and clean up Center after event    Art Shows/Poetry Readings/Theatre   1 Adult Volunteer needed Open building prior to starting time of event (usually 7:00 p.m.) Supervise event Man concession Zero tolerance concerning drugs/alcohol (confer with youth, ask youth to leave) Close the building when event is over (no later than 10:00 p.m.) and depart only when all youth have left the premises  2 Youth Volunteers needed • 1 to collect admission at door (if any) • 1 to check restrooms and clean up Center after event mailto:HHSMAHONEY@aol.comshapeimage_7_link_0
